Premium Dirt Bike Lighting Doesn't Have to Cost $500

Off-road dirt bike riding at night with LED headlight illuminating a desert trail

A better lighting setup shouldn't cost a fortune.

If you've been shopping for an aftermarket dirt bike headlight, you've probably noticed how expensive some options can get. Between premium lighting brands, mounting kits, and wiring accessories, it's easy to end up looking at a $400–$500 upgrade.

But here's the thing: you don't necessarily have to spend that much to upgrade your off-road lighting.

At KRJ Moto Co, we believe riders deserve another option. One that focuses on useful light output, a well-designed beam pattern, proper fitment, and straightforward installation without the premium price tag.

What Are You Actually Paying For?

Premium lighting products can offer excellent performance, and different setups aren't always directly comparable. But a higher price doesn't automatically mean a product is the right choice for every rider.

Before spending hundreds of dollars on a headlight upgrade, consider what matters most to your riding.

  • Beam pattern: Can you see down the trail while keeping the surrounding terrain illuminated?

  • Light output: Are the specifications meaningful, and how was the light measured?

  • Fitment: Is the mounting solution designed for your specific motorcycle?

  • Wiring: Does the kit offer an appropriate wiring option for your setup?

  • Price: Does the complete package make sense for your needs and budget?

For riders who want a practical lighting upgrade for night trail riding, these details matter more than a brand name alone.

Our Approach at KRJ Moto Co

KRJ Moto Co was built around a simple idea: develop a useful off-road lighting upgrade and make it accessible to more riders.

We work directly with our manufacturer to develop our LED light and refine the details of our kits. The goal is to offer a compact light with a combination beam pattern that balances distance and wider coverage for the mix of tight trails and open desert that many off-road riders enjoy.

Our light is rated at 3,300 lumens, and our in-house testing measured 756 lux at 10 meters. We also measured approximately 31 watts of power consumption at 13 volts DC.

We share these figures to give riders more information about what they're buying, rather than asking them to judge a light by its advertised numbers alone. Our lux result is an in-house measurement, not an independent laboratory certification.

A Straightforward Upgrade at a Fair Price

We keep our pricing simple, with two options depending on how you want to wire your light.

Plug-and-play kit — $120

A lighting kit with the plug-and-play wiring option for supported motorcycle applications.

Wiring harness with handlebar switch — $140

The kit with a wiring harness and a handlebar-mounted ON/OFF switch for riders who prefer dedicated control of their light.

That's an alternative worth considering if you want to upgrade your lighting without spending $400–$500.

Different brands and kits may include different components, so always compare what's included before making a decision.

Designed for Off-Road Riders

Whether you're heading out for an evening trail ride or spending time exploring the desert, having a lighting setup suited to your riding makes a difference.

KRJ Moto Co focuses on model-specific mounting solutions for supported off-road motorcycle applications, with wiring options to suit different installations.

We're also a family-run business. Every step of building KRJ Moto Co has involved learning, testing, refining, and working to create products we can stand behind. We know how quickly the cost of riding adds up, and we believe riders should have options that make sense for their budgets.

Our goal isn't to convince everyone that they need a new headlight. It's to offer another choice for riders who want a practical upgrade at a reasonable price.

Is KRJ Moto Co Right for Your Bike?

Before ordering, verify that your motorcycle's model year and configuration are supported. Electrical compatibility varies between motorcycles, so make sure you select the correct wiring option for your setup.

A few things to know:

  • Our light has ON/OFF functionality only, without selectable high- and low-beam modes.

  • The light is not DOT approved and is intended for off-road use.

  • Motorcycle plastics, headlight masks, and other accessories shown in product photos are not included unless specifically stated.

If you're unsure about fitment, contact us before ordering. We'd rather help you confirm compatibility than have you purchase the wrong kit.
